10th Annual Member Meeting!

Bay Area Community Land Trust celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Annual Member meeting on November 12th, 2018. 28 people attended and viewed brief slide presentations celebrating BACLT’s first 10 years, and Ninth Street Co-ops 30th Anniversary. We showed the very moving video Arc of Justice, which traces the remarkable journey of New Communities, Inc. (NCI) in southwest Georgia, a story of racial justice, community organizing, and perseverance in the face of enormous obstacles. Steve Barton and Steve King made presentations on the successful housing measures, Berkeley’s U1, Oakland’s KK and Alameda County’s A1, all passed with over 70% of the vote and will make millions of dollars available for affordable housing in our area.
