BACLT & California Community Land Trust pursue legislation to remove tax barriers to CLT development

BACLT is an active and founding member of the California Community Land Trust Network (CLTN). This year in 2019, it is pursuing SB 196, providing a tax exemption during the period of development of CLT homes from the time of acquisition to sale, as well as, a clarification of AB 2818 to allow for even application across the state. This legislation is crucial for the future of the CLT model.
