BACLT Board Election & Annual Meeting
September - November 2025
Each year, the BACLT membership conducts a Board of Directors election. Please see the BACLT Bylaws for detailed information about the rules and process.
Election Timeline
September 23, 2025- Nominations notice will be sent to members
October 23, 2025 - 5pm - Deadline to submit nominations
November 6, 2025 - 5pm - Deadline to submit nominee candidate statement
November 12, 2025 - Official Ballots will be sent to members
November 22, 2025- 1:00PM - Annual Membership Meeting - hosted on zoom (register here)
Role of the Board of Directors

Open Seats
Many, but not all, current Board members with expiring terms will be running for re-election.
Four (4)Lessee Member seats are open. Lessee members are residents who live at one of BACLT’s properties. Lessee members are encouraged to nominate candidates for lessee member seats.
Two (2) General Member seats are open. General board members represent the BACLT General members. A General member is any BACLT member who is current with their dues in the past 12 months. Only General members can nominate General board members.
One (1) Alternate Lessee Member seats are open. - Alternative Lessee members may attend all meetings of the Board of Directors. If one or more Lessee members is absent from the meeting of the Board, an Alternate Lessee member can serve for the absent Lessee member. Only Lessee members can nominate Alternate Lessee board members.
Two (2) Public Member Representative seats are open - Candidates for Public Member seats are nominated by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications to serve on the Board of Directors, under the BACLT bylaws, require:
That both the nominator and the nominee be a member of BACLT and that they are current with their dues. (Lessee Members are not required to pay dues).
If you have paid your dues anytime in 2024-2025 you are considered current as a General Member. You would have to renew your dues by mailing a check for $30, or more, to PO Box 2652, Berkeley, CA 94702, or send it thru PayPal by November 22, 2025.
